I first heard this soulful tune while watching Spike Lee’s “Clockers.”
It’s the opening song, and my mom would watch it sometimes just for this song.
When I saw Spike last summer on the train, I wanted to ask him about this song, but ended up just looking it up online and found it. This song has a very powerful message…so soulful.
